Character & History
Personality: Muse has the outstanding ability to play any musical instruments she makes or invents. She has a very accurate, absolute sense of hearing and can be very critical about her other tribesmates in a part song. She is also well-capable of taking any event and write an instant song about it, and during howls she and the one telling a story will often team up in tale and music.

Music is her true passion, and one will often encounter her in humming new or existing tunes. She builds her musical instruments herself and is annoyingly careful with those, forbidding others to even touch them. She would rather build one for an interested tribesmates, then to lend one out.

Apart from her music, she sometimes seems to live in a dreamworld, but only just below the surface. If there's anything needing her attention, she will snap out of it immediately. She is a great talker, knows how to capture an audience and is well-capable of imitating many birds and mammals, with or without the help of her instruments.

Something new always sparks her interest, but she can quickly lose the same curiosity as things don't turn out the way she'd like to see. At mothering, therefore, she fares less well. Because she has dreamed of teaching her daughter the tricks of the trade (that is, hér trade), the cub has other interests and therefore, it is mostly up to the tribe to raise her.

History: Ever since she was young, Chirp was fond of music and sounds in general. Her mother, very capable of mimicing birds, tought her how to do it and learned her how to play the flute. Her father Brownfur, who had more wolf than elf blood, watched the development of his cub not quite happy. His attempts to teach her how to hunt failed, as she was barely interested in doing so.

Chirp loved to sing and dance, and soon already her mother found out her daughter had an absolute sense of hearing. She encouraged her daughter to develop her abilities. When Mimic died when Chirp was only twelve, she vowed that she would do anything to become the best musician that she could.

Neglecting her tribal duties, Chirp generally traded songs for food, but that changed when chief Tailwind died. The new chieftess, after she had found her way, pushed Chirp to take up a weapon, stating that "musing won't provide food" -- the name Muse stuck. Chieftess Quiver personally taught Muse to use the bow, so that she could support herself instead of living off the tribe.

The founding of the new Holt and all the happenings thereafter made Muse happy that she was in fact capable of defending herself. Right after chief Flare died, she was in dire need of defending herself, killing an attacking with a clean shot. All those events inspired her to tell stories with music, alltogether.

Her recognition with Bearkin wasn't an easy one. They had been casual friends for decades but Recognition was something different. Bearkin, with his jovial, friendly nature was a realist, while Muse often lingered in her dreams. Still, they found a way of a comfortable relationship, and though their lifemating is based loosely, they love their time together.

The relationship with her daughter was troubled from the start. Though Ripple listened closely to her mother's songs when she was an infant, she couldn't bring up the patience to do so when she grew older. Music did not have her interest and like her mother, she would lose her curiosity. Now, the tribe teaches her cub how to hunt and she is satisfied with her place in the tribe.

Wolf Friend
  Name: Wolfsong   Rank: Mid/Low
Age: 19   Gender: Female
Personality: Wolfsong is a curious but gentle wolf, and enjoys being around elves. Her fondness of elves and cubs especially, alienates her from her pack but she makes friends for life with the two cubs. She is easygoing, doesn't mind having to snatch away the last pieces of any meal and is considered a reliable cubsitter, as well.
Wolfsong has a darkgrey fur, with even darker circles around her eyes, dark paws and a dark tail.
