Character & History
Personality: Vision is probably the most strange elf the tribe has ever known. She always seems a bit absent minded, even though she pays attention most of the time. When she looks at you, it seems she looks right through you, as if she looks to someone else behind you. Some of the tribe feel uneasy around her, because of her strange way of talking. And not just because of her melodic, soft voice.

Metaphor could be her second name, because she seems to talk in riddles that make perfect sense to her. It gets even wonkier when she mixes the current with flashes of the future, which she tends to see (though she never says that outright). It makes her stories even more freaky. Some of her predictions actually come true, but some are also proven wrong, which makes it difficult to know what she means or why she says some things.

It is sometimes speculated that she also has contact with the spirits of the deceased, but that's never been proven nor confirmed. Despite this all, she lives in the now and though you might not be able to tell so, she is more alert than one should think in the first place.

History: Vision was born as the fourth cub of Peiren and the first of Nightsky, and was a pretty sight when she grew up. Her light blonde hair and light grey eyes together with her petite build made her cute. When she started to speak, however, her parents started to think there was something wrong with her. The vague things she spoke about made no sense to her parents, and her agemates took a distance from the seemingly absent minded girls.

When she was nine years old, her father along with many tribesmates died when humans attacked High Tree Holt. She sometimes felt it was her fault, because she had tried to say something would happen but most of her words were discarded as nonsense. She pulled back in herself when the elves fled into all directions and chieftess Midnight took her, because her mother was nowhere to be seen.

Slowly, the survivors gathered but Vision barely seemed to notice it. She seemed to endure the wandering period only barely, being tired and cold a lot. The crossing of the Whitecold Mountains left an incredible impression on her. Vision nearly froze to death when she wandered after chief Tailwind and his son Lightheart, but moments before they were hit by an avalanche she had stopped. The new chieftess, Quiver, found her half frozen and she told her what had happened to her brother and her father. It took a while for Quiver to understand, but she took the female back to the others.

After the Whitecold Mountains, life got easier on Vision. The pine trees brought back happy memories of her early childhood, and she opened up to the tribe more than she had in the previous centuries. The birth of Muse enlightened her -- she would often visit her niece and play with her, whenever she had the chance.

But soon, she started to speak out warnings again, when they met the trolls and established a trade contact. Most tribesmates, however, couldn't do much with talk like "What you get now, you'll have to pay back in double", and they ignored her. Frustrated, she stayed more inside her den than she had to.

Around Wolfears birth, she started to talk about her cub, and she often looked at the boy with the funny ears with gaze of knowing. Their recognition, many turns later, was no surprise for her, as if she had waited for it to happen. They formed an odd couple -- the distant, flighty Vision and the warmhearted Wolfears, and though Wolfears felt warmth for his recognized, they never shared a den. Their cub, however, pulled more to her father but it seemed as if Vision didn't really care. She often looked at the two with pride and if someone asked her if she thought it was a pity she was not more like herself, she answered that at least, the cub had her mother's eyes.

When the cub went on her soulsearch, Vision grew restless and while many told her not to worry and that this was the Way, she dwelled through the holt anxiously. After a while, she collapsed and with a white face, she screamed something was wrong with her daughter. Sparrow was brought back to the holt more dead than alive, and it took Goldstar a great deal to stop the inner bleedings. Wolfears and Goldstar disappeared a turning of the seasons later, and Vision took her daughter in. The cub stayed indoors until the wounds would be healed, but even after that, Vision would not let her go, stating she'd almost lost her once and that wouldn't happen again.

Something started to pull on Vision, and she started to mention Wolfears more often than she used to, when he was still alive. Some said she could speak to his spirit, others said she had went insane.

Though Wolfsbane would often visit to treat her cub's wounds, Vision convinced Whitedoe that it was not everything the cub needed. They went into the hunting territory for days, and fell in a troll trap. When they were pulled out by the trolls, Vision didn't do anything and clearer-minded than she had ever seemed, she followed them almost willingly.

Though Wolfears had turned more into a wolf than an elf during his stay in the caves, he took care of his recognized. Because of her petite build she would have to endure more troll brutalities than the rest who were stronger, but it seemed that she barely noticed it, often staring in the distance (though the wincing when Goldstar touched the wounds proved her hurting).
